Hello everyone, Zero here. It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that as of today the fan translation of Rokka no Yuusha has come to an end.
Yen Publishing has licensed the novel. As stated on our mothersite nanodesu translations, we will take down all material and cease further translating upon licensing.
I have terribly mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I’ve poured hundreds of hours, literally 3 years of my life into the translation of this book series. I’ve worked on it during my commutes every day and on my vacations. So it sucks that I can’t complete this project. On the other hand, the author can now get some revenue from the novels. And hopefully yen press will do such an awesome job with the translation that even more people will fall in love with this series.
There are so many people that have helped me with this project over the years and I fear that I’ll forget someone. But thank you Hantsuki, Hikaslap, jarrguy, and Nanodesu for all your support. And thank you to all our wonderful readers. All of your messages go straight to my email account so everyday I read your words of encouragement and your awesome theories. Thank you so much everyone.
And as a final note, if you do truly love Rokka, please support the official release. The novel will probably only cost around 10 bucks each.
For readers of Volume 5:
I have posted an extended summary of Chapter Five, Chapter Six, and the Epilogue. I know it’s not ideal, but at least you’ll see how the story ended.
August 1: All Volume 1 material, including EPUB/PDF, will be removed.
September 1: All EPUB/PDF will be removed.
October 1: All translated content will be removed.
Hey, guys, hikaslap here. Yen Press has announced their licensing of the Rokka no Yuusha light novels, which leads one to believe they will be sold in bookstores near you—at least if you live in the US. I’m not sure how the whole thing works for other countries… have you Occidental/Oriental/Oceanial/African ever managed to get your hands on a Yen Press translation?
We will be taking down all the translated content from this page at the given schedule. Stay tuned for more info.
Hello everyone, Zero here. It sucks that Rokka was licensed, however I feel bad leaving all of the readers of Book 5 hanging. I’m working on an extended summary of Chapters Five, Six, and the epilogue. It should be up in a couple of days. I’ll tell you upfront that the quality isn’t what I’d like it to be and I skimmed some of the more redundant parts. However, it’s still about 30 pages (the average chapter I put out in the past was about 35-40 pages). It isn’t much, but it is better than waiting years to find out what happened in that labyrinth. So stay tuned.
It’s finally here! Sorry about the delay everyone. Special thanks to my supervisor Hikaslap (he asked me about updates every week) and our editor Jarrguy. Also, I’d like to thank Nanodesu for continuing to allow me to post to his site. Now without further ado, Rokka no Yuusha Volume 5.
Guten Morgen Freunde,
DevilHands here (somewhere in the world) bringing you the next exciting installment of Rokka No Yuusha. Myself and everyone who worked on this volume hope you enjoy reading it and look forward to your continued support and words of encouragement. Until next time, stay frosty.
A wordpress bug was preventing comments from being posted from the latest two chapters. This has been fixed so you can now comment. Sorry for the inconvenience.
So the anime is almost upon us. It’s interesting how they changed the names of many of the characters from what was romanized in the book. I get a Russian vibe from Nachetanya (Nashetania) and a French vibe from Chamot (Chamo). However some changes don’t make sense. It clearly says the Chamo is the Saint of the Swamp in the novel, plus she lives in a Swamp. Yet the anime changed her to the Saint of the Pond. That sounds a lot prettier than the ugly way her power manifests. But anywho, check out the site for yourself and tell me what you think,
In case you weren’t aware, Rokka no Yuusha is going to get an anime adaptation, which is set to premier this summer. I’m pretty pumped.
Recently a trailer was dropped showcasing the character designs and outlining the overall plot. Check the link below to find out more and see the trailer.
Oh and if you need more of your Rokka fix, don’t forget to check out Chapter Two of Volume 4
Hello everyone. I’m so sorry about the delays. I’ve been training for a 500km bike ride from Tokyo to Nara which has required me to cycle about 30 hours a week, on top of a 40 hour work week. But I promise we are still working on Rokka. Most likely chapter 2 will be uploaded by the end of April and updates will be more frequent from May onward. Thanks again for your patience and stay tuned.
